She also covered common pitfalls such as partial volume effects and incorrect inversion time.<br /><br />Amit Patel discussed stress perfusion imaging, including ischemic cascade, vasodilator and dobutamine stress, perfusion artifacts, and the role of quantitative myocardial blood flow. He reviewed how stress CMR helps detect obstructive CAD, ischemic burden, peri-infarct ischemia, and microvascular dysfunction.<br /><br />Michael Salerno covered phase-contrast flow imaging and 4D flow, explaining velocity encoding, aliasing, background phase correction, and applications to regurgitation, shunts, and valve gradients.<br /><br />Gabby Weissman reviewed parametric mapping, especially native T1, T2, T2*, and extracellular volume, and how these improve detection of diffuse myocardial disease, edema, iron overload, amyloid, myocarditis, and stress cardiomyopathy.<br /><br />The final talks and Q&A emphasized practical troubleshooting: shimming, breath-hold issues, ECG gating problems, device-related artifacts, and protocol adjustments.
