Video Summary
The talk presented a self-navigated free-breathing cine-DENSE MRI method for myocardial strain imaging. Free-breathing scan artifacts were traced to striping from residual T1 echoes, blurring from motion between segments, and signal loss from intra-heartbeat motion. The proposed “matchmaking” framework selects the best face-cycling data, reconstructs image navigators to estimate translation, and applies phase correction to reduce these artifacts. In healthy volunteers, it improved image quality, SNR, and strain agreement versus conventional methods. A prospective adaptive acquisition version was also introduced, with future validation planned in patients.
