Video Summary
The panel discussed practical cardiac MRI questions. For pulmonary veins, speakers recommended contrast angiography, transaxial CMR, or sometimes spin-echo sequences; 3D SSFP is less ideal, though systolic acquisitions and intravascular contrast may help. In Fontan patients, flow is often measured in the aorta, branch pulmonary arteries, pulmonary veins, SVC, and IVC using breath-hold, navigator-planned acquisitions. AV valve flow was considered unreliable for direct measurement; regurgitation and shunts are better assessed using great-vessel flows. Other topics included time-consuming coronary vessel wall imaging, slow-contrast infusion for coronary MRI, and managing ectopy or pacemaker artifacts.
