Video Summary
The presenter introduced a multiband cardiac MRI method for left-ventricular strain imaging, combining multiband acceleration with variable flip angle, outer volume suppression, and golden-angle rotation. Using self-calibrated slice low-rank reconstruction, three short-axis slices were acquired in one breath-hold within 14 heartbeats. In four volunteers, image quality, displacement, and strain maps closely matched standard single-band scans. Quantitatively, agreement was excellent, with an intraclass correlation of 0.98. The method offers a promising way to speed up dense MRI without sacrificing accuracy, and future work will test it in patients and with automated deep-learning strain analysis.
