Video Summary
This study evaluated whether compressed sensing 4D flow CMR can estimate mean pulmonary artery pressure as accurately as conventional acquisition, but much faster. In 51 patients scanned at 1.5T and 3T, compressed sensing reduced scan time from about 9 minutes to under 2 minutes, a 79% decrease. Image quality remained excellent, and pressure estimates closely matched conventional scans, with strong correlation and minimal bias. The method performed well across both field strengths. Overall, compressed sensing appears to preserve diagnostic accuracy while greatly improving efficiency, increasing the clinical usefulness of CMR-based pulmonary artery flow analysis.
