Video Summary
The presentation discusses accelerating 3D coronary MRI with a wishbone trajectory, which is efficient but slow to acquire. Existing reconstruction methods like CG-SENSE, compressed sensing, and GRAPPA have limitations such as noise, blur, regular sampling requirements, or extra calibration data. To address this, the authors developed SYN, a self-calibrated GRAPPA-like method that estimates kernels directly from undersampled data without calibration scans or sparsity assumptions. Results showed SYN produced sharper images with fewer streaking artifacts and better IQS, RMSE, and SSIM than competing methods. Future work includes testing other trajectories and free-breathing acquisitions.
