Video Summary
The speaker presents a new coronary MRA reconstruction method that integrates FNAV autofocus respiratory motion correction into a free-running framework. Unlike standard 5D compressed-sensing reconstructions, the proposed approach first corrects non-rigid respiratory motion across cardiac phases, then uses image registration to create a static 3D volume. Tested in nine volunteers, it produced coronary images and RCA reformats comparable to 5D reconstructions, with similar vessel sharpness, contrast, and visible RCA length, but much shorter reconstruction times. The method may improve image quality and efficiency, especially in patients with challenging motion, without requiring compressed sensing.
